The lady at the counter told us the basic tips about skiing. Initially we were getting it all wrong and fell a few times. After a couple of attempts, we were a bit comfortable and could ski without falling down. Although I fell many more time later :-)
The frozen lake in the background. Some people go to sauna and then take a dip in the lake. I wonder how many people would have the courage to do that : Sauna in +80 degrees and then a dip in the freezing cold water :)The Oittaa ski resort is next to a lake. The lake freezes during winter and people ski on it as well. We did not try to ski over the frozen lake as we are not experts. There is option of having a bonfire and cooking some delicious food. Many people used it for making the hotdogs. The Oittaa resort has a wonderful cafe. We enjoyed some great snacks at the cafe.
