Sledding

Last Monday(15-Feb-2010), we were invited by the Finland Relocation services for a sledding event at the Westend Alps. ( located at the corner of Westendintie and Hiiralantie in Westend, Espoo) . The Westend Alps is not a mountain, but a small hillock covered with snow.

We (Saravana, Sucheta and I) reached the venue at around 6.00 pm. The FRS had also arranged for some nice Pullas(similar to sweet bun) and Gloggi. The gloggi is a Finnish drink which is generally warm and feels great in cold.
We all enjoyed the sledding rides.
Sledding at first sight seems to be pretty simple and harmless, but you could get hurt by the uneven bumps of snow. I fell a couple of times and also hurt my back. Even Sucheta got hurt. But these were not very serious injuries, though the pain still exists. (Even 2 days after the event).
